Likert item

A single statement rated on a Likert scale, such as "I am satisfied with the onboarding process" rated from strongly disagree to strongly agree.

Likert scale

A rating scale (commonly 5 or 7 points) that lets respondents indicate their level of agreement, satisfaction, or frequency, from one extreme to the other.

Longitudinal study

Research that surveys the same population repeatedly over time to track how attitudes or behavior change.
